If you have purchased a taxiway light from MNCam.com, here are some quick and easy instructions for controlling and connecting the light to your network!

Power

Each light is powered by a USB cable. Any USB charger or socket should work and does not require a lot of power. If you plug the USB cable into a computer or laptop, it will not connect to any data. The cable is only wired to deliver power.

Wi-Fi Connection

After powering on the taxiway light, head to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and search for a network name called “Taxiway“

The password for the network is “mncam1234” (without quotations)

After you enter in the network password, your phone will automatically launch a website hosted inside the light. This will present you with two options:

1.) “WIFI SETTINGS” — This option allows you to connect your taxiway light to your home network (recommended.) After doing so, you can integrate it with a medley of different services depending on how deep into technical discovery you want to get. Once connected to your home network, install the WLED app for quick access to your light!

2.) “TO THE CONTROLS” — This option is for directly controlling the light from your phone without connecting the light to your home network.

WLED Interface

By default, each light is pre-programmed to boot up to Preset “1” which is a solid and dim blue. If you would like to change this, simply create a new preset and choose the option “Apply at boot” to ensure your new preset is chosen when the light powers on.
